Modern and Open Fitout for Inner-City Vet Hospital
Elite recently completed the design and fitout of a two-level, 240 sqm veterinary hospital in one of the inner suburbs of Melbourne. The hospital is owned and staffed by local pet lovers.
The owner wanted an open and modern reception area to welcome their existing and new clients, providing an environment that reflects the warm and friendly service provided by the hospital.
The new vet hospital features a consult/grieving room, dog and cat treatment room, surgery, imaging, sterilisation, separate dog and cat wards, isolation room, lab/pharmacy, puppy training room, grooming and staff amenities.
The colour scheme throughout the vet clinic incorporates white, light grey and dark grey. These colours feature prominently in the reception, waiting area, consult/grieving rooms and corridor, with medium light grey timber plank flooring contrasting with the crisp white walls and dark trims on the doors and door frames.
The remaining rooms have vinyl flooring due to their clinical nature - i.e. surgery, dry/wet treatment and imaging areas. Grey splashbacks feature throughout the practice, complemented by light wood cabinetry and clean white matt counter tops.
Access into the hospital was non-compliant for disabled clients so Elite worked with the relevant authorities to reconfigure and construct a new accessible entrance.
Jennie Helsop, the owner of Ripponlea Vet said of the fitout process: “Elite were a great team - they ensured the stressful build process was as smooth and seamless as it could possibly be.”
